CAW presence at 'Walk for the climate' December the 5th
Posted on behalf of Megan: We have all been involved in organising an event in Wellington on
December the 5th, to demonstrate
the diversity of the climate movement in New Zealand in calling for ambitious
and fair carbon targets.
We would like to ask Wellington's branches of Cycle Action Network to be part of the walk from Civic Square to Parliament.
Bob Jones proposal to turn Golden Mile into car-free zone
His team would ban vehicles from the city's "Golden Mile" – Lambton Quay, Courtenay Place, Willis and Manners streets – to create a pedestrian mall complete with free trams and cycle lanes.
