Are you passionate about more people on bikes, more often? Join us in the heart of Auckland on 13-14 April for CAN's National Cycling Summit.

 

The weekend included CAN's AGM, workshops, training, rides, plenty of food and drink and a chance to catch up with fellow "CANners" from around New Zealand.

We encourage all local groups to submit a poster display of what is happening in their city for cycling. Please submit boards Friday (or email jenaniq@gmail.com to make other arrangements).  A prize for the most creative board will be awarded.

Accommodation
City Garden Lodge 25 St Georges Bay Rd, Parnell, is recommended.

CBD backpackers around Queen Street will be noisier but please see attached programme for a full list of recommendations.

Optional post-CAN Do ride:
2 and 3 day options. Map is here. We'll have a support vehicle.

  • Day One 15 April: Auckland train to Takanini Ride to Clevedon (or ferry to Pine Harbour), Kawakawa Bay, then Miranda. Accommodation at Miranda Shorebird Centre.
  • Day Two 16 April: (optional) shuttle to Paeroa then ride the rail trail to Waikino and back to Paeroa, shuttle back to Miranda.
    Or ride to Auckland via Maungatawhiri and Papakura, train to the city.
  • Day Three, ride to Auckland via Maungatawhiri and Papakura, train to the city.
