Update on Cycling Works from RDC

Update on Cycling Works from RDC

Please look at the attached. Adds up to quite alot of effort by RDC in making our lives as cyclists safer and better. Comments can be emailed directly to RDC at cycling@rdc.govt.nz (or 07 348 4199 on the tele). Comments can also be left here and i will try to collate them and forward to RDC. We definitely want to let them know how happy we are that they are making progress with all of these cycling works. Likewise if you have issues with some of these projects or otherwise, RDC is happy to hear from you. For record keeping purposes, please cc Mark or I (mdyer@canmaphawley.co.nz or calenth@hotmail.com) on all emails to RDC about tactical cycling issues.

Hi,

Here is a report on progress made by RDC.  It will be great to get some feedback on this.

I have also asked for a report on what is next on their ‘to do’ list.

Kind regards,

Mark

This is great to see! I ride the Sala / Scott st connection 2x every day and can say that it is a great improvement! 'Tis a bit of a rough transition from the new path to the road on the Scott st end, however.

It would be good to hear feedback on the other listed improvements, if anybody has experience with them.

It might also be a good idea to have a group ride around where we sight some / all of these upgrades. Possibly as part of a future critical mass ride?
