Bike to the Future Awards - History

The Cycle Friendly Awards were devised by CAN and have been running since 2003. The purpose of the Awards is to acknowledge and celebrate some of the most notable achievements in the country that are helping to promote cycling and to create a cycle-friendly environment.

The major sponsor gets added to the Awards title each year in recognition of their contribution.

The awards typically run annually. There are several categories, and in each category there are finalists. Category winners are announced during an Awards function.

A panel of judges determines the winner.
