The purpose of the ride is to support safe cycling infrastructure in the new Christchurch. Simply join to keep up to date with planning and fun. Invite your friends!
Come out and ride with us on the Winter Solstice with your brightest and coolest bike lights!
Our goal this year is to have enough riders to completely encircle North Hagley Park with a ring of bicycle lights, to give a bright message to our city leaders.
Ride with us and remind our City Rebuilders that we want safe bike lanes across the New Christchurch, so we can cycle safely to and from all key destinations such as educational facilities, retail, business hubs and sports facilities.
Our bike light ride starts at the Hagley Park Armagh Gates and we ride counter clockwise around the park on the footpath or road - your choice. Afterwards we will adjourn to to a local pub for a meal, a beer or hot chocolate and discuss how to help make Christchurch a world class cycling city!
Event will be held rain or snow or wind or hail or a nice warm evening.
