1. Car-free Day/Moving Planet Day
STOS did free breakfast for people who didn't use cars on World Car Free Day
Moving Planet Day got rained out, but there were about 100 attendees and it got a good write up in Taranaki Daily News.
2. Cycle-friendly awards
Action point: Alan will get photos from Nathaniel from the Waitara Fix-up, so Graeme can nominated NPDC for a cycle-friendly award.
3. Alan reported that NPDC is looking at revising Coronation Ave and Devon Street in Strandon and Spotswood. He suggested they could be good targets for a bike ride/audit after NPDC publishes their proposals.
Action point: Alan will contact Nathaniel about getting a copy of the audits we did for the fixes that NPDC proposed as part of the Cycle Strategy Implementation Plan.
4. Fun ride - discussed doing fun ride Oct 30th at 1 pm along walkway to Bell Block to inspect traffic interface when walkway ends at Hickford Park. Would meet at Wind Wand.
Action point: Stuart will contact Graeme to make sure he's available Oct 30th before invite is sent to whole email list.
5. Alan reports that Nathaniel is scheduling a Cycle Strategy Implementation Team meeting this month.
NEXT MEETING: Wed Nov 2nd 5:30 STOS cafeteria on Devon St.
