1. Discussed article Tom Cloke wrote regarding the safety of cyclists on the new back roads trail opening Aug 21 - mainly owing to truck traffic. Nathaniel emailed him about working with Lets Go and NTCA to set up biker/trucker workshops.

2. Five marshalls needed for Aug 21 to escort riders through Bell Block. Nathaniel will email Graeme once poster is done, and then Graeme will compose notice for Katie to put out to the whole email list. Graeme will ask CAN shop for tee shirts, merchanidse on approval, etc we could use to help promote CAN and NTCA on Aug 21st. Nigel will remind Nathaniel to send him a copy of the Aug 21 route.

3. Nathaniel reported 20 green signs have been produced to label rural roads used by cyclists. Plans are to post them on Carrington Road, Plymouth Road, Pukeiti and the other side of Mountain Road heading towards Leperton. Group strongly suggested additional locations owing to major safety issues: lower reaches of Henwood Road, Waitara Road, Waitara Road, Richmond Road and Tikarangi. Nathaniel will ask Selwynt o suggest other sites.

4. Discussed option for extending walkway to Oakura and/or Waitara. Group agreed extension to Oakura is probably a higher priority.

5. Discussed plans for Moving Planet Day Sept 24th - plan is to get people to Puke Ariki by some method other than by car (bike, walking, skates, skateboard, scooter, etc) and have stallf with info when they get get there, badges and raffle.

6. May balance $332.59.
