The 3rd Annual Australian Cycling Conference will be held on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 January 2011, at the Rockford Adelaide, 164 Hindley St. As in previous cycling conferences in Adelaide we look forward to welcoming those cycling brethren who make the trip from across the Tasman.
As a forum for academics, community groups, practitioners and advocates of cycling to present their cycling research and new cycling projects, it's a great opportunity to network with other people in the cycling field - whether that's research, policy development, planning, facility design, project implementation or product development.
With a diversity of presenters covering a wide range of subjects, ACC 2011 promises to deliver another exciting chapter in the book of Australian Cycling Conferences held in Adelaide.
The conference is timed to allow delegates to enjoy the cyclefest that hits Adelaide in January each year. Apart from enjoying the spectacle of the Tour Down Under, delegates can participate in the Ride Like Crazy (http://www.ridelikecrazy.com/) on Sunday 16th and/or the Mutual Community Challenge Tour (http://www.tourdownunder.com.au/getinvolved/mutualcommunitychallengetour2) and the street parties at the various localities hosting starts or finishes of the stages.
In keeping with the conference aims of developing and disseminating cycling research, knowledge and expertise, the organisers have again kept conference registration costs low, at $280 for a 2-day registration (including GST) with one-day and student rates also available.
Visit the website (http://www.australiancyclingconference.org) for on-line registration, the program, accommodation options and details of the conference dinner.
