Merchandise is an useful source of income for CAN and gives CAN an opportunity to promote its name and brand. The Merchandise Co-ordinator keeps this part of CAN's operations ticking over.
The Merchandise Co-ordinator is appointed by the Committee. It is not essential for the postholder to also be on the Committee.
Role:
- receive orders and send out stock to customers
- record orders for Treasurer
- maintain stock supply
Duties:
- receive orders/payment details, either via internet or email
- enter orders/payments on database, print out packing slip
- send confirmation of order to customer
- package and post order to customer
- maintain stock, reorder as required
- send sales report to Treasurer at the end of each month
- communicate any new merchandise opportunities to the Executive and Media & Marketing Co-ordinator
Desired qualities/experience:
- well organised
- Internet access
- familiarity with databases (Access) an advantage
- has a small amount of storage space/shelving to keep the unsold merchandise in one place

Time commitment:
- varies during the year, but averages 1-2 hours per week
