Hi I live in one of the northern suburbs (on SH1) of Wellington, want to ride into CBD everyday. Being a beginner with less than good fitness, want to avoid the ride up Ngaurange Gorge till I gain more capability. I am thinking of coming by car upto Ngauranga, and keep car parked at Glover Street at the bottom of the Gorge all day ( I haven't seen any pay & display signs here). I plan to ride from there to the CBD and back.
