Nelson City Council relocating 'old bike stands'...

We are relocating some old stands and have a bit of budget for some new stands – any ideas about where you would like these.

At present we are

-          installing some lollypop stands in the old bus shelter at Tahunanui – under cover “leaners” for library users.

-          Relocating a stand from Hutchison st (will be re-painted) to outside Sprig and fern in Milton St

-          Relocating stand from Putaitai Street (old supermarket entrance – now superseded by stands within  the supermarket car park)  to outside 623 on the rocks at Tahunanui.

There has also been a request for one down on or near the riverside cycleway by the Collingwood St bridge (at present people lock their bikes to the veranda posts of the store on the corner of Ajax Ave and Collingwood St). This will be considered when we prioritise.
