You will need to make your arrangements with regards to travel and accommodation. CAN is able to arrange local billets for those who are interested- please indicate on your registration form.

Nelson has a full range of accommodation options; backpackers, camping grounds, cabins, hotels and motels. Here are some places to start looking:
Some of us are already booked in at the Tasman Bay Backpackers - if you book in there let them know you're coming to the CAN Do, as they've offered us a slightly discounted rate. They also offer complimentary chocolate pudding at bedtime!
Bike loan:
We can arrange for you to borrow a bike for the weekend if needed (bring your own helmet, lights and lock). Please indicate on your registration form if interested.
Travel Subsidies:
As with previous years, CAN is keen to get good representation from all of our local groups. Therefore we offer travel subsidies for at least one member of each local CAN affiliated group (or from a district where no group currently exists) of up to 50% of your travel costs. The final amount will be dependent on the total amount claimed as we have a limited pool of money.
To assist with budgeting, applications should be made to CAN by 10th October - Contact Alex at: admin@can.org.nz.
There may also be additional financial sources available to help you with your travel costs:
- Many local groups use their own funds to help support group members attending the CAN Do. Contact your local group to enquire about this possibility.
- CAN also allocates funds each year to support local groups undertaking promotional activities. Groups may apply for this to help cover travel costs for their members. Application form.
When registering for the CAN Do, please complete the additional information questionaire so that we can ascertain dietary requirements, numbers for meals etc.
