Here's a bunch of biking events in November and December coordinated by WCC.

Cycle into Summer is back

Kick-start your summer by discovering the fun and freedom of cycling!
We have lots of workshops, events and courses to get you and your
friends and family on bikes and having a blast. Even if you don't have
a bike you can borrow one for some of our events. Sharpen your skills
in mountain biking or road riding or learn the art of commuting to
work. Learn to keep your ride in top shape at our maintenance courses
or bring the family down to Bike the Bays and enjoy a picnic in
Waitangi Park.

Even if you don’t have a bike you can borrow one for some of our events or
swap your car for a bike at Green My Ride. Sharpen your skills in BMX,
mountain biking or road riding. Learn the art of commuting to work or keeping your ride in top shape at our maintenance courses or why not bring the family down to Bike
the Bays and enjoy a picnic in Waitangi Park.

Go on, dust off your bike and enjoy Wellington.

Includes commute by bike workshops led by Illona, Bike the Bays, Green my Ride free breakfast, maintenance classes, and riding skills classes led by CAW members Marilyn and Patrick.

Free guided tour of Makara Peak Mountain Bike Park

A fun guided ride, open to anyone who wants to explore this fantastic mountain bike park (beginners, families and new to town especially welcome). Ability level: First time/ beginners to park
When: Every first Sunday of the month, until March 2010.
Cost: FREE
Length of activity: 90 minutes
Start time: 10am
Meeting place: Makara Peak car park on South Karori Road
What to bring: bike, helmet, water bottle and a snack - If you dont have a bike but would love to go, Mud Cycles (2 minutes
from the park) are offering half priced rentals for your first trip!
