CAA eNews October 2009

Introduction from CAA's Chair Mark Bracey:

Without a doubt, this month's eNews is the best I have ever seen.  And like
this monthly newsletter, I am continually amazed at how the Cycle Action
organisation has grown in strength since I first joined over 10 years ago.
It is extraordinary what a dedicated group of individuals can achieve when
they share a common passion and goal.  It is for these reasons that I am
looking forward to my year as the new Chair.

I would also like to extend a big thank you to all the members who support
the organisation financially.  Cycle Action is run entirely by volunteers
and it is this financial contribution that enables us to be more effective.
Please feel free to pass on the eNews to friends, family, colleagues - it
might be the motivation they need to join us as well.  This month's
newsletter contains some of the latest projects and events-  such as
Froctober, 'Veer' the movie and Tamaki Drive.  I  invite you all to get
involved.  There are lots of opportunities.

Happy and safe cycling

"The secret of riding a bicycle as an adult is to pedal just hard enough to
keep the machine upright, then to increase speed very gradually, but without
becoming too breathless to hold a conversation or hum a tune."
