TRAVEL IN NEW PLYMOUTH

Bring your bike. New Plymouth is a wonderful city to explore on a bicycle, with a spectacular Foreshore Coastal Pathway which last year won the Cycle Friendly Award for Best Cycle Facility Project. The North Taranaki Cycling Advocates Group is planning a Friday 13th Spooks Ride. And of course a bike is the best way to get from the venue to accommodation and into town.

Bike Hire

CAN Doers need to make their own arrangements for hiring a bicycle if needed. (There will be organised bike hire for Conference participants, but we are not able to extend these arrangements over the weekend)

Bikes will be available to rent from local bicycle shops and suppliers, and NTCA may be able to help also.

As above, if you choose motel accommodation, ask if they supply free bikes to guests.

If you would like to hire a bike, contact Nathaniel Benefield of NTCA for more information: benefieldn@npdc.govt.nz

Bring a helmet and lock, and lights if you plan to ride after dark.

Catering

Breakfasts, lunches, morning & afternoon teas, on Saturday and Sunday included.

BBQ dinner on Saturday night: food supplied, prepped and cooked by CAN Doers.
