Bike working bee, Monday 7 March from 10am

Jason Penny is hosting a bike working bee in Tasman St, Mt Cook. He has imported 200 used Japanese bikes and I'm looking for volunteers to give him a hand: pedals, handlebars, baskets on. Jason is on a mission to get cheap bikes to the masses.

Bring tools and a repair stand if you have one. Lunch provided (thanks Bike Wise / Christina)

Let me know if you are keen and available and I'll send you the address.
And if you want to buy a cool 1 or 3 speed commuter bike, bring some cash. He has a few folding bikes too.

CAW Christmas Meeting

Hello all cyclists - this is the last meeting of the year.  Come along and join
in to celebrate another year of cycling advocacy.  Details below:

Dec 1 6-7.30pm Southern Cross (Abel Smith Street) - Social evening

How does Santa cycle around the world?

If Santa was a cyclist (sorry, Philip Darnton, a person who cycles),
what cycle facilities could he use for his Xmas world tour?

Alastair Smith will look at a range of cycle facilities that he's come across
while travelling overseas, and consider how these could be used by Santa
to achieve his goal of reaching an estimated 498,345,219 Xmas stockings
in a 24 hour period.
