Purpose:
To develop and implement a funding plan to diversify CAN's funding base and to be responsible for securing funding for both core services and special projects.
Duties:
- Research possible sources of funding, create a list of potential funders and their key submission dates.
- Advise MET Committee on possible projects that would be likely to receive funding from 3rd party sources.
- Preparation of funding applications independently, or with Project Leads, MET or with local groups.
- Preparation of documentation required to support funding applications.
- Administration of monies received from funders.
- Collection of all receipts and documentation to support funding received.
- Provision of required documentation to funders for audit purposes.
- Writing reports as required by funders.
- Set up and maintenance of database recording all applications made and funding received.
- Liaising with funders as necessary.
Desired qualities/experience:
- A proven track record of successful fundraising.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of the cycling community in the New Zealand region.
- Experience of working with management of community groups, government organisations or the business sector.
- Writing and communication skills.
- Experience with coordinating and planning.
- Experience with stakeholder management.
- Your own computer and internet research skills.

Before the 3rd Wednesday of the month, contact the MET with a bullet point summary of progress or via Volunteer Manager
Time Commitment:
Part Time: up to 0 to 8 hours p/week
Reports to:
A member of MET Committee or Volunteer Manager (???)

Support available:
CAN’s MET can provide help and advice, sample articles;
CAN will find opportunities for training or mentoring if possible
What does success look like?
Ability to secure grant funding CAN for projects and operationally.
