This document provides background on the way CAN's membership is structured and administered.

Membership structure

CAN provides membership for both individuals and for supporting organisations. Supporting organisations include bike shops, local/ regional councils, consultants, cycle touring businesses etc.

Local Group Fund Application Form

CAN has established the "Local Group Fund" which has $1000 per annum to assist local cycling advocacy groups affiliated to CAN.

Local groups may apply for up to $200 for projects where the local group is prepared to contribute a minimum 20% (eg: claim $200 for a $250 project) or apply for 100% funding of projects up to $100 in cost.Download Application Form as PDF or MS Word DOC.

The policy development process

This document outlines the methodology for developing, getting consensus and putting in place specific CAN policies.

To background the policy development effort, we have outlined in the diagram the process that is being used to develop policies that the majority of CAN members can support.
