"Celebrating everything to do with the bicycle in one big party"

COVID-19

Due to current uncertainties, we (Cycling Action Network – CAN) have decided to hold off confirming our event date for this year. This decision is based on the recommendations from the government as well as our own risk planning and duty of care to all those who would like to participate in and attend the event.

While all parties are committed to delivering the event this year if possible, we need to see how things progress over the next month before making a definitive decision.

We recognise that the landscape around Covid-19 is fluid and unprecedented and the government have not determined when their recommendation on public events and mass gatherings will end. Therefore, a final decision on whether the event will go ahead in 2020 will be made no later than 30 May.

NZ Bike Expo

The NZ Bike Expo is a place where everyone – roadies, trackies, downhillers, commuters, riders of dirt, e-bikers, unicyclists – can celebrate the cycle. For two days everything to do with the (bi)cycle will be in one place… the top brands, the experts, the retailers, the clubs, the trips and events!

Whether you are a serious cycling aficionado, parent looking for your child’s first bike or a group considering your next adventure, the NZ Bike Expo has something for you.

Bikes have come a long way in the 201 years since they were invented. At the Expo you'll be able to see and try out the awesome range and science embodied in today's bikes. You'll also hear about the amazing challenges and journeys bikes can open up for you.

Why businesses and organisations chose to exhibit in 2018

For two full days they had a captive audience of thousands who came to check out and buy bicycles and bike-related stuff. We pitched the event to the serious gear freaks across the disciplines and also to families, commuters and leisure riders.

The time is right for a bike expo in New Zealand. New Zealanders are embracing bicycles like never before. The range of bicycles and bike merchandise has exploded. Consumer interest in bicycles has grown hugely and excitement will be boosted by this bicycle celebration.

By participating in the NZ Bike Expo, you cement your place as an important player in the cycling sector and cycling community. You'll also receive event support from our skilled team.
