Ongoing conversations with PNCC on the road markings for cyclists on Te Awe Awe St in Palmerston North. See attachment for proposed changes to road markings in response to road safety concerns raised by Cycle Aware.  We are working with PNCC to improve safety for cyclists and to achieve a positive outcome for all road users.

Mightly River power are proposing to build a windfarm on ridgelines in the Turitea in the hills near Palmerston North. A large part of this would be in the Turitea Nature Reserve which is the water catchment for the town water supply.  Many members of Cycle Aware Manawatu are concerned about the adverse effects this proposal would have on cycling if consented.  The attached submission was therefore sent from the group.
