Welly to Shelly to Seatoun Ferry

Come and cycle the Great Harbour Way/Te Aranui o Pōneke with family and friends.

Otago has the Central Otago Rail Trail. Marlborough has the Queen Charlotte Walkway. Now Wellington has the Great Harbour Way/Te Aranui o Pōneke - a scenic 70-kilometre cycleway and walkway from Pencarrow to Red Rocks. Celebrate the launch of the first stage of this exciting project by cycling 10km around the waterfront from Queen's Wharf to Shelly Bay on the annual mayoral ride. At Shelly Bay you'll receive a certificate and a free bicycle bell with the gorgeous Great Harbour Way logo. If you're keen, you can carry on another 8km to Seatoun Wharf, where you and your bike can return to the city on the East by West Ferry for only $5.

Cycle with the Mayor; mingle with celebrities. Get free gifts and be part of this historic occasion.
