Jim Jackson, Chair of The Onehunga Enhancement Society, has asked Cycle Action to get feedback from cyclists on a proposal from the NZ Transport Agency to replace the old Mangere pedestrian bridge.

I need a cover for my bicycle basket as my shopping keeps jumping out when I go over a particular man-hole cover in Queen Street that is literally 'a pain in the bum'.

I'm probably your newest member and as such, am way off the pace. What an impressive organisation. I'd just like to say, I've cycled for more than 30 years in London, Bristol and New York. I cycle because I enjoy it, it keeps me fit and in London particularly, it's the quickest way to get around... but mostly ... I drive.  However, I have never experienced such appalling driving as in Auckland, particularly where the 'cyclist' is concerned (Metre and a half!!!!).

Textured paint can be a option for cycle lane marking as it provides tactile feedback to motorists as they cross it.  As it isn't as severe as a rumble strip, it is quite easy for an inexperienced cyc

More needs to be done to educate motorists to keep Nelson cyclists safe on roads, Bicycle Nelson Bays spokeswoman Anne FitzSimon says.
