This is the secondary deadline for getting local group reports submitted to chainlinks [at] can [dot] org [dot] nz for inclusion in the third 2011 issue of Chainlinks, planned for late October or earl November. Note that this is a later deadline for local group reports, which won't get the same level of editing. The main deadline for articles is(was?) September 14
