Abstract:

We can't afford to ignore the impact of speed. Excess and inappropriate speed on our roads is the single biggest road safety issue in NZ today. Hundreds of NZers are kiled or injured but many people openly admit to enjoying driving at high speed on the open road. This ACC brochure and the full 82 page report (cf.url below)outlines the dangers of speeding, the benefits to all in speed reduction, and a plan for what we can do towards speed reduction.
