2 Walk and Cycle Conference, 22-24 Feb 2012
The first ever joint NZ Walking and Cycling conference will be held in Feb 2012 in Hastings. Over 70 speakers will be presenting - Registrations and draft programme are now out.

In the early 2000s the Cycling Advocates Network (CAN), formed in 1997, spearheaded the cycle lobby. It lobbied local councils and transport authorities for cycle-friendly amenities such as cycle lanes and designated cycle paths, and organised ‘bike to work’ days to encourage cycle commuting.

Every last Friday of the month, 5:30pm Otago Museum Lawn.

 

Numbers vary from 10 - 200.  Come along, spread the word !
