How to create a link
You can reference to other pages or files held on the CAN website by creating a hyperlink.
- If you are referring to pages (or files) on our website, you need to create what is called a relative link (the web address without our domain, i.e. the part that comes after http://can.org.nz).
- If you are referring to external pages (or files), you need the full address including the domain (i.e. everything starting with http://...).
Creating a hyperlink is easy.
- Copy the internet address into the computer's internal memory (i.e. use the keys 'Ctrl' & 'C').
- In the editor, highlight the word or words that you want to create a hyperlink with.
- Click on the 'Insert/edit link' button.
